Are you ready for Natasha’s Law?
Natasha’s Law, which comes into effect in October 2021 in England, will require food businesses to provided full ingredients list and allergen labelling on foods pre-packaged for sale on their premises.
Labelling is required for food that consumers select themselves from a display unit, order from a selection kept behind a counter or buy from a mobile or temporary food outlet. The legislation is to protect allergy sufferers and give them confidence in the food they buy. The Food Standards Agency has a guide on YouTube and a Sector-Specific Toolkit for every type of food business.
