Great opportunity for the people of Acton to get funding for meaningful projects in the community. The Met Police have made £28,000 available to local organisations as part of their community engagement programme. The money will be distributed via a programme known as Participatory Budgeting (PB).
The Acton Together PP programme has been developed by a group of young people from Acton. Their deliberations have set the criteria for funding applications.
Applications are welcome from any individual or organisation e.g. any group, charity or ‘not-for-profit’ organisation. Applications from constituted and un-constituted groups will be welcomed. Advice will be available to support un-constituted groups to become constituted should they wish to do so, or they will need to have a support partner.
Bids are welcome from young people aged 13yrs or over. However, anyone from age 13 –18 must have a sponsor in the form of a parent/guardian or other suitable adults.
Single applications can be made up to £10k. The bids need to address at least one of the themes identified at the ‘World Café’ consultation event of 2021. Support will be given to anyone who needs it.
If you, or an organisation that you are aware of, would like to apply for funding, please complete the attached application form and ensure that it is submitted by 5pm on 7th October 2022.
