Re-made in Park Royal Project
Re-Made in Park Royal is looking for support to launch a new materials exchange hub for all local businesses to donate and collect materials. We are reducing waste, reducing captured carbon costs, and innovating with materials to make new valuable products for artists, schools and community groups.
There is a chance to be a founding supporter if you help them meet their target by the deadline Tuesday 7th February. Donate here: https://www.spacehive.com/re-made-in-park-royal
Re-Made in Park Royal will be a materials exchange hub for all local businesses to donate and collect materials. We are reducing waste, reducing captured carbon costs, and innovating with materials to make new valuable products for artists, schools and community groups.
Primarily focussed on collecting waste from creative industries such as film productions, we will also look to collect surplus materials and valuable bulky items. We work with 300+ artists, designers and makers in Park Royal who will work with these materials to create public art, manufacture new products. Local studio providers are already fitting out their spaces with our reclaimed timber.
We ran a focus group event last summer and collected valuable contributions from 100 local stakeholders and businesses who want this service to exist. We are now looking for funding and further support from across NW London. Please help get our crowdfunder over the line before the deadline Tuesday 7th Feb. If we don’t make the target, we get none of the pledges so far.
With the money we will form a social enterprise, rent the space, build out our materials hub, hire and train a local young person, and start collecting materials at scale.
With financial support of £1500 or more we will give a VIP tour of local studios when we open during London Craft Week in May and an artisanal sculpture 3D printed from digested coffee cups made by Blast Studios.
