Funded by the UKSPF fund, The London Business Partnership (LBP) is delivering a FREE comprehensive programme of advice and support for small to medium size businesses in London.

Delivered through a combination of 1:1 sessions, webinars, and in-person events & workshops, this programme empowers small business owners with an understanding of their rights and responsibilities, and gives them skills and knowledge around operating out of a commercial premises.

Anyone with any issues around their commercial property should get in touch, such as anything related to the below topics:

• Leases and Licences
• Energy efficiency
• Dilapidations
• Premises search
• Problematic landlords or tenants
• Legal questions
• Anything else to do with commercial property!

Another year done and dusted! In the last year, a lot has been done to accomplish various projects and initiatives… old and new ones! It has been an exciting year and if we may, we would love to take this time to look back over some of our achievements that conquered 2024.

Launched

• 3 Your Acton’s Makers Market in July, September and December to support local independent artisans and sustainable businesses.  
• A new Website page for What's On: A hub for all things Acton where you can list your business, event or promotion for free with just a tag!
• For the first time, we printed and posted 55,000 Christmas Guides prompting 48 BID businesses.

Hosted:

• 10 Business Breakfast Networking events.
• The South Acton Industrial Estate Clean Up day for a second year.
• Hosted our first Customer Service Awards ceremony for businesses that participated in the Mystery Shopper initiative.

Thank you and congratulations to all the businesses who participated in last year's Mystery Shopper initiative that took part between the months of September to November. In total we had 40 businesses throughout Acton who were mystery shopped in different sectors, including the industrial estates, that offered a unique opportunity to gain insights into their business. 

We will be hosting the Customer Service Awards ceremony on Wednesday 8th January. More information will be provided to the participated businesses. 

Stay tuned to see who will be the top businesses that will receive the awards for Highest Acclaim, Outstanding Customer Service and Good Customer Service.

Your Acton BID with the Met Police organises the ShopWatch security meetings for the local pubs and businesses in Acton. This partnership increases communication within the pubs and businesses to pre-empt crime and anti-social behaviour in their premises.

• Next ShopWatch meeting: January 29th 2025, at 11am at the ActOne Cinema, High Street (W3 6NA).
