Applications for the Restart Grant scheme are now open to businesses who have not received it already. The grant is for non-essential retail and hospitality and leisure, including personal care sector and gyms. 

To apply for this grant, your business must be in the mentioned above sectors and:

• Based in England
• Rate-paying
• Trading on 1 April 2021.

Apply for the Restart Grant by 23:59 on Wednesday, 9 June. Please note if you have already received a Restart Grant you must not apply again.

Public Health England has found a COVID-19 variant of concern first identified in India in some parts of Ealing. The council is making COVID-19 testing and vaccination as accessible as possible to all residents and workers in the borough over a four-week intensified period of activity. 

Residents are being asked to take part in extra testing to help stop the spread of this more transmissible variant and to avoid the need for further lockdown restrictions. You can read more on the council’s website here.  

Your Acton BID with various local organisations are working with Mutual Gain, a social capital building organisation, in supporting the community of Acton to instigate a collective conversation about what we could do to help improve The Mount area of Acton. Reimage the heart of Acton is a project that may provide an opportunity for local people and businesses to work together to improve the town centre. 

Your Acton BID with the Met Police has relaunched the Acton PubWatch and the ShopWatch for pubs and businesses along Acton High Street. This partnership will increase communication to pre-empt crime and anti-social behaviour in their premises.
