Your Acton BID, in partnership with Vergo, will provide free and discounted pest control against mice & rats for BID members.

Details of the service:

• Food businesses receive 12 routine visits per annum
• Non–food businesses receive 6 routine visits per annum
• 20% discount on industrial businesses located in Acton Park & South Acton Estate
• Emergency call outs (within 2 working days)

The basic cost of this service is £206.80 per business per year – which is offered FREE through your Acton BID levy. Due to the different requirements needed for Acton Park and South Acton Industrial Estate, any pest control procured through the Vergo/Acton BID Partnership will include a 20% discount.

Attention, Acton businesses! Since July 2021, Place Support Partnership (PSP) programme has identified over £180,000 in savings for Your Acton BID members, with an average saving of £1,761 per business! PSP helps reduce business costs by reviewing your bills and identifying where savings can be made. It is a free service to all Your Acton BID members.

The Banking Hub located inside the Oaks Shopping Centre is now officially open! They have open their doors on Monday, June 5^th and you can now do all you bank transaction right here in Acton.  

It is operated by the Post Office, however please note that there is no post office services and only where customers of the major banks and building societies can carry out regular cash transactions, Monday to Friday. Community bankers will work on rotation, with a different provider available on each day of the week which includes Barclays, Lloyds, NatWest, Santander and Nationwide.

For the months of May, the Acton BID reported various issues such as:

• Over 32 issues of fly tipping incidents.
• 21 counts of graffiti on business shop fronts and street furniture.
• 3 other types of incidents, including streets not clean, pavement issues and abandoned bicycles.
  

We have started to deliver this year’s free accredited training courses, with Emergency first aid and Safety in the workplace. The rest of the courses will be delivered in early June. We have also reintroduced the free/discounted pest control for our BID members. Check out our website for more information about the above services!

The Acton Carnival, organised by ARTIfication, will be having an Emerald celebration (20 years anniversary) on Saturday 8th July 2023. There will be plenty to offer with 2 music areas including main stage, live acts, DJ's, Performers, food vendors, Licensed bar, stalls and entertainment for the children.

Procession: Leaving from Crown Street Acton from 10:30am, along Acton High Street into Acton Park for 12pm.

Carnival start time: 12pm - 7pm (Acton Park)
