Your Acton’s Makers Market is Coming Soon

Save the date! Your Acton BID, in partnership with Design LED, will be hosting 3 sustainable markets in the year. Our first market will be held this summer on Churchfield Rd on July 13th from 10 am to 4:30 pm. There are further plans for a Churchfield Road Autumn market (14th September) and Winter market (14th December) in the year, but this is the first one we will be hosting, and we would like everyone to take part in the experience.

As part of the market day and set-up, part of Churchfield Road will be closed to vehicles between Alfred Rd and Burlington Gardens to allow for the necessary stall spaces.

For more information contact Natasha.

The Acton Summer Mystery Shopper Project: A Key to Customer Retention

Great customer service helps retain customers. We are keen to help businesses ensure they make the most of every customer interaction. In November 2023, insight6, one of the country’s leading Customer Experience (CX) organisations, mystery-shopped 40 Acton businesses. A mystery shop is where a researcher behaves exactly like a customer and visits your business. They then provide a full report on their Customer Experience.

With the success of last year's Customer Experience awards, Your Acton BID has teamed up with Insight 6 once again. This year we are offering the service to retail and industrial businesses.

If you are interested in the mystery shopping initiative and would like more information, please email Natasha@actonbid.co.uk.

If you are interested in taking part, click here for Retail or Industrial.

Your Acton BID Breakfast meeting

This month’s Business networking morning was hosted by BID business Pixipixel. It was lovely to see so many businesses attend. Thanks to The Little Mobile Coffee Co. for providing fantastic coffee and great service. City Deal’s sales director, Zain Bozai, who gave us insight into the property market. Thanks to our guest speaker Colin Brent who discussed the Ealing Youth film award winners at the Bollo Youth Club.

Finally, Alan Rides from West London Chambers of Commerce  who told us about the new business awards that are up for grabs later this year.

The flower baskets are finally up!

Have you seen our beautiful flower baskets along The Vale, High Street, Churchfield Road and Market Place? They are now officially up, and Acton is about to bloom with beautiful flowers that will beautify and bring colour into our area. The summer flowers were also added to the wooden planters along the High Street, and we have added flowers in the parklet on the High St and planter on the Vale.

It is all part of the BID's goal to make Acton a glorious place for businesses and locals. If you have any questions regarding the flower baskets and planters, please email us at info@youractonbid.co.uk.

We want to hear from you!

So many of you are running exciting events every month that we want to support. This is why we’re continuing our new monthly round-up across Instagram and Facebook.

Our goal is to share as many events as possible every month in Acton - giving you more footfall and creating a buzz on the busy Acton streets. But to do this, we need your help…

Email Natasha with the following by 26th June:

  • The event your business is hosting in July 2024
  • Information about it (time / date / customer stipulations)
  • Any accompanying photos or videos

It could be anything—a discount, a workshop, a birthday, a promotion! It doesn’t matter what; we want to promote it.
