FREE accredited training courses now available in October!

Your Acton BID is working with Aid Training to provide FREE accredited training courses for BID members. The in person training is now available for the following courses and dates:

  • Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work on Wednesday 16th October from 9:30 to 17:00
  • Fire Marshall on Wednesday 23rd October from 9:30 to 13:00
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene on Wednesday 30th October from 9:30 to 17:00
  • Level 2 Health and Safety in the workplace on Wednesday 6th November from 9:30 to 17:00.

 * All courses will be taking place face to face in Acton at Global Skills Training - First Floor, Old Acton Library, High St, London W3 6NA.

FREE Training Courses for Businesses
Accredited Online Training Courses

Your Acton BID, with Highfield E-Learning, is also providing FREE accredited training courses online for BID members!

Businesses can sign up their employees to obtain their training online, which they can complete in their own time. The courses available online are Fire Marshall, Health and Safety, and Level 2 Food Safety.

Online Mental Health Workshop

Your Acton BID has teamed up with Rener Wellbeing to host a series of online workshops for your business. The 2-hour interactive workshop will take place on October 11th from 10am to 12pm online.

This course, presented by Rener Wellbeing, offers an overview of key aspects of personal and professional well-being. Each module is tailored to address specific needs, providing practical tools and insights to help you thrive in today's fast-paced work environment. Contact Natasha to RSVP your spot!

Joins us at our upcoming Networking Breakfast!

We would like to thank Go View Estate Agents who has MC'd our previous breakfast networking event in September.

In collaboration with West London Chamber of Commerce, Your Acton BID will be hosting the next upcoming breakfast networking on Friday, 18th October at the ActOne Cinema. Tea, coffee, and pastries will be available during the networking.

This is a great opportunity to network and meet local businesses and it is FREE for BID members.

Pavement Licence Renewal

The pavement licence expired on the 30th September. Please note that all businesses that currently have a pavement licence (regardless of when you applied for it) must renew their licence before September 30th if you want to continue to have tables and chairs on the pavement. Great news, the pavement licence will continue to be £100 for the year! If you haven’t done so yet, please apply now! For more information and how to apply, check out the council’s website here.

Street Trading Licence

Please note that if you would like to apply for a Street Trading Licence, which consists of displaying the same items of your shop out the front on the pavement, the council requires you to have at a minimum a Level 3 Food Hygiene to have your application accepted. You can find out more on the council website here.

Christmas is just around the corner!

I know that thinking about Christmas seems far away at the moment. However, the Acton BID is getting ready for the festive season! A lot is in store again for this year's holiday season with our December Markers Market, Christmas lights, 3D light installations, and Christmas trees!

But before unveiling everything just yet, we are getting ready for our annual Christmas Guide, making Your Acton THE Christmas destination! Calling out to all businesses that have any events planned or any promotions to be advertised in our guide.  Just send us a few details via email to Natasha and we will add it to this year’s guide. Stay tuned for more information on all the amazing things coming to Acton during the Christmas season!

 
Ealing Business Festival

The Ealing Festival of Business is back and come join us! The Ealing Festival of Business is your opportunity to shine, giving you the chance to showcase and promote your business to our diverse business community. The day starts with a stakeholder breakfast with keynote speakers to be announced. The business exhibition will open at 9:30am, with up to 40 stands!
