Food safety and hygiene controls are paramount in preventing anyone from becoming another statistic. Designed for anyone working in a catering, manufacturing or retail setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled. The one-day courses are designed to give all food handlers an appreciation of the fundamentals of good food hygiene.

Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work

This course can be adapted to suit the audience and is ideal for lower-risk businesses, in line with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course includes both theory and practical sessions, in a relaxed atmosphere, aimed to boost a delegate’s confidence.

Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace

Thousands of people are forced to take time off work every year due to health and safety related issues. In most cases this is minor, with only a few days taken off, but in some cases this is due to major injuries, with worst case scenarios even leading to fatalities. The vast majority of these cases can be avoided by putting in place better health and safety procedures in the workplace.

When: Wednesday 6th November from 9:30 to 17:00.

Location: Global Skills Training – First Floor, Old Acton Library, High St, London W3 6NA

Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. This course is suitable for those who want to gain a greater awareness of mental health, to detect early symptoms of common mental illnesses and the skills to support their own and others’ positive wellbeing.

Fire Safety Training

This course is tailored to the needs of the prospective Fire Marshal and typically runs for four hours. This course teaches basic fire safety awareness as it applies to the workplace. This course complies with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

When: Wednesday 23rd October from 9:30 to 13:00.

Location: Global Skills Training – First Floor, Old Acton Library, High St, London W3 6NA
