Ealing Council launches two new initiatives to strengthen the local economy

Following the adoption of the Ealing Jobs and Skills Strategy, and in alignment with the recently published National Industrial Strategy and London Growth Plan, two new initiatives will be launched to strengthen the borough’s economy and further support our local employment, training and skills ecosystem.

These initiatives are designed to better align local talent with the evolving needs of businesses and employers across the borough, while ensuring that Ealing residents are better equipped with the training and support needed to access pathways into good employment.  

Ealing Borough Apprenticeship Scheme

This scheme is tailored to support apprenticeship levy-paying businesses and organisations in hosting apprentices. Ealing Council will provide a comprehensive package of support to ensure each apprentice is set up for success and delivers real value to your business.

Ealing Schools Work Experience Programme

Regardless of your business size, sector or location the council can support you to connect with high school students and deliver meaningful work experience opportunities that inspire future careers in your industry. If you are a sole trader, micro or SME, a tailored menu of activities that best suit your needs and capacity will be put in place. This would include connecting you with other small businesses to jointly deliver career talks, webinars, mentoring, or project-based tasks.
