Proposals are underway to create the West London Orbital (WLO), a new London Overground service running between Hounslow and Hendon. By utilising underused rail routes, the WLO aims to improve travel across west and north-west London with direct links between key town centres and major development hubs, including Old Oak and Park Royal, Wembley, and Brent Cross.
The project includes four brand-new stations at Neasden, Harlesden, Old Oak Common Lane, and Lionel Road, alongside essential upgrades to existing stations to provide more efficient, sustainable alternatives to car travel.
This transformative service aims to boost local connectivity, support new homes and jobs, and make travelling around west London far more convenient. Transport for London is seeking feedback from local businesses and residents to help shape the proposals, understand key priorities, and refine the route before finalising plans.
You can explore the full details, including proposed station layouts and route maps, and submit your comments before the public consultation closes on 18th November 2026.
