SKILLS FOR LIFE – Global Skills Training
We are delighted to be celebrating National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2026, taking place from 9 to 16 February, with the national theme “Skills for Life.” This week is an opportunity to recognise the value of apprenticeships in developing skills that benefit individuals, employers, and the wider economy.
At Global Skills Training (GST), we have a full programme of activities planned throughout the week, highlighting apprentice success, employer partnerships, and career progression opportunities.
What’s Happening During the Week?
Monday – Theme Day: Skills for Life – In-person
During the in-person event we will launch NAW with the GST Apprenticeship Story, focusing on how apprenticeships develop lifelong skills. We would like to invite local employers to take part in our workshops, talk to the advisers on how apprenticeships can benefit their businesses and how to start, meet potential candidates and learn about success stories.

A spotlight on our employer partners, featuring employer case studies that showcase the impact apprenticeships have on workforce development and business growth.

We will celebrate apprentices through learner case studies, sharing real experiences, achievements, and progression stories.

A dedicated careers-focused workshop, alongside promotion of careers support and progression opportunities available through apprenticeships.

We will end the week by celebrating excellence, recognising all apprentices who achieved a Distinction during the 2025–26 academic year.
