WAVE training equips venue staff to spot vulnerability, intervene safely, and create safer spaces for customers.
The Welfare and Vulnerability Engagement (WAVE) training is an award-winning, accredited programme that has been developed to support venues in becoming safer, welcoming environments for customers and staff.
To support licensed premises in meeting these expectations, we are offering free Ask for Angela and Welfare and Vulnerability Engagement (WAVE) training. This is a nationally recognised scheme, specifically designed for licensed settings, which provides practical guidance on identifying and responding to risk.
This training will help you and your staff to:
Meet the expectations set out in Ealing’s Licensing Policy
Recognise signs of vulnerability and risk
Respond safely, confidently and discreetly
Demonstrate a proactive approach to safeguarding and public safety
Each participant will receive a certificate at the end of the training, and links to free videos and resources to download.
