If your child is starting Reception at Derwentwater Primary School in September 2026, this special extended stay-and-play session hosted by @thelittleclubacton is a lovely opportunity to meet future classmates before the new school year begins.
Children can start building friendships, while parents have the chance to connect with other families they’ll be seeing at the school gates in September. It’s a great way to create familiar faces ahead of the transition, helping to build confidence and excitement for starting school.
There will also be second-hand school uniform available to purchase, plus plenty of toys and activities, so siblings are welcome too.
