Acton BID Clean Up Days
The Acton BID team was out in full force, rolling up our sleeves for a dedicated estate tidy-up! Alongside litter picking and weeding, we walked the site to connect directly with local businesses and hear first-hand how our BID services can best support day-to-day operations.
To keep the estate looking its best, we teamed up with social enterprise Cultivate London to prune and replant the flower beds, while our contractors at Walkers carried out specialist jet washing and window cleaning across local units.
A massive thank you to the team at Segro for hosting a fantastic event day complete with coffees and cupcakes, and to everyone who dropped by the social – brilliant to see so many of you there!
Following on from the project in Vale, the Acton BID team headed to South Acton Industrial Estate for our regular site action day. To help businesses declutter, we provided BID-funded Quattro skips across the estate, while our team got to work clearing overgrown hedges, weeding, and litter picking.
We were once again joined by our partners at Cultivate London, who trimmed back the wildflower gardens and planted spring bulbs to ensure a vibrant display next year. Greener Ealing also came on board to tackle the larger overgrown shrubs across the site.
In an important step for local security, Your Acton BID and Ealing Council have co-funded repairs and additional lamp columns along the alleyway connecting Roslin Road and Stirling Road to improve safety and deter anti-social behaviour in the area.
